Setting a Goal

Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.

It is good to have goals, short-term goals and long-term goals. It seems to me that sometimes we set our goals down on paper, and somewhere along the way, we forget about them. When we are setting our plan of action for our goals, write them on a piece of paper, and review them at least once per week to keep them fresh in our mind. I am convinced that goal setting and then achieving it, are critical elements to our success in life. As Mr. Landry noted, “staying with the plan”, is everything to achieving our goals in life. I really never set any goals in my life, and just thought that everything would work out. It does not work that way! You must have a set of goals that are realistic and yet challenging. Work hard towards those goals, reflect each week on how you are doing, and then keep working until you reach each and every goal. If you have no goals, you will really have no life. Goal setting, sets the stage for your dreams and aspirations in life!
